Helping Your Children Find Their Genius

Every child is a genius. There are no standard children. If you believe this statement, then you can also realize that state and national education standards are irrelevant because they seek to standardize the students.Schools try to make a homogeneous (pronounced homo-genius, meaning “same kind” or “standardized”) society, when what we should strive for is a society of geniuses. What makes a genius? Leonardo daVinci, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Carnegie, Albert Einstein, and Louis L'Amour were…See More

Hi, Heather!

I'm so excited to be part of your homeschool community!  My biggest question at the moment is do you have any homeschool you can recommend that I can enroll my daughter in?  She is currently enrolled in K12, but we couldn't get on line with them.  So we are currently using IXL curriculum which we love, but I know I need to follow the laws of CA.  If you have any recommendation for a homeschool that let's me pick my own curriculum, please let me know.

THANK YOU!!!!

Hello Heather,

I am the Volunteer Coordinator at a local non-profit in Huntington Beach. For 30 years, Alzheimer's Family Services Center (AFSC) has helped improve quality of life for families challenged by Alzheimer's disease (AD) or another dementia through services tailored to meet individual needs. We have an intergenerational program here and our participants absolutely love when the young kids come by to visit. If any of the children in your network would like to come to our Center to share thier talents or hobbies or just play a game with our participants we would be thrilled to have them.

Regards, Aimee

Hi Heather,

I posted a list of curriculum items I wanted to sell last month. I've sold the items through other networks and wanted to have my listing here deleted. Thanks!

Hi Heather -- I'm new to this site and am excited to find it! I'd like to add the art workshops I do for homeschoolers to your class list. How do I go about doing that?
