Opportunities For Learning Charter School
Provides a WASC accredited individualized academic program for parents wishing to teach their children at home. Courses are offered at the learning level of each student from basic skills to college prepatory. Many students and parents have found OFL a rewarding alternative to the traditional school setting. The parent-teacher works with a credentialed teacher (the Education Specialist) to develop an individualized learning plan to meet the student's needs, interests and abilities. The parent/guardian takes the role of the primary educator for their child with the support of the Education Specialist. Students and parents will then meet monthly for a Learning Record meeting to turn in the necessary records and discuss their progress for the past month. Students and parents will find the educational tools they need in a stimulating environment to learn and receive educational assistance. www.emsofl.com
